Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Review

4 Things I Liked About 'Dawn'

1. Andy Serkis - If you know me, you know my love for Mr. Serkis. Caesar is portrayed by Andy Serkis. He gives a brilliant motion capture performance and is best known for his performance capture roles such as Gollum from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy (2001-2003) and for his portrayal of Caesar in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)." He deserves an Oscar and should be credited for, body language and limited dialogue. FYI -He was consulted on how to give an emotional quality to the character of Godzilla. 5 points for Andy Serkis

2. It centers on peace and conflict resolution (The Ape Camp) – Even though it ended with the beginning of a war. Caesar, portrays an element of concord, reciting phrases such as “If we go to war, we could lose all we've built", "Home. Family. Future” and “Apes together strong”. It has a fantastic voice of reckoning and captivating emotional core. Believe me when I tell you I would bring along Cesar and Maurice to one of my conflict resolution sessions.

3. Computer-generated imagery (CGI)- What firstly needs to be mentioned is what astonishing success 'Dawn' has done when it came to the use of CGI.

I'm normally very critical towards the (over-)use of CGI – but the level of craftsmanship displayed here simply has to be admired. It only took me seconds to forget I was watching digital characters (brought to life through the outstanding motion-capture performances by Andy Serkis, Toby Kebbell and Judy Grier – to name but a few), and I can't begin to imagine what a task it must have been for the artists and wizards in the animation department to work on every background and every tiny little detail of every character until this level of seamlessness and reality could be achieved. – Gogoschka-1

4. The story-line – Ten years after the worldwide pandemic of the deadly (known as the Simian Flu), human civilization is completely destroyed following martial law, civil unrest and the economic collapse of every country in the world. Over 90% of the human population has died in the pandemic, while apes with genetically enhanced intelligence have started to build a civilization of their own. The film's insistence on anchoring every event in strong, simple emotions...made [Dawn] surprisingly intimate and wrenching. Caesar was your entry point into the story. You identified with him completely, as you did with King Kong,.... You felt his pain, and cheered when he stood up for himself.- MS

Fantastic movie! Filled with great storytelling, wonderful special effects, and a captivating emotional core. Dawn of the Apes is close to perfection hence it’s score of 9.5/10

Ask Me Anything Movie Review

Britt Robertson, Molly Hagan, Andy Buckley

Release Date: December 2014

Directed by: Allison Burnett

Drama | Mystery | Thriller

Katie, a brash seventeen year old is dating, (and then some), her high school boyfriend along with two older men. That is, her boss and an engaged 32 year-old a community college teacher who is living with his fiancĂ©. Her promiscuity is a bit inexplicable- seeing that she knowingly has unprotected sex with her lovers while telling them that she’s “safe”. Only the Lord know what that means.

As the film unravels, I see where the breakdown in her life derives from. Her parents are divorced (her mom has yet to be married), her father is a dying, anti-feminist alcoholic and as a child she was.... you’ll find out when you watch. But the fact of the matter is that she has daddy issues - which is evident in her flashbacks during her sexual escapades - and when a female has daddy issues she’s bound to have man issues.

To give her life structure Katie starts a blog, suggested by her guidance counselor. However, the only structure the blog has is detailing the different aspects of her life especially highlighting her sexual activities. She becomes famous, not only in her mind as she puts it, but on the internet.

So where are we? She’s sleeping with three men - her boyfriend, a soon to be married man and her boss. During her grieving process when the teacher “dumps” her, the teen becomes distant from her boyfriend and eventually moves onto her boss, a 43 year old man with a wife and newborn.

We come across other characters in the film, like the kind-hearted bookstore owner, portrayed as an advisor, her suicidal schoolmate who I considered her inner-conscience, and even her drug-addicted best friend.

The acting portrayal was...okay. I little strained for some, and confusing for others. In Ask Me Anything, I think Katie really needed to be loved but received it vicariously through sex and that is always a sad case.

It’s an edgy coming of age tale and while everyone can watch, by all means it’s not a family movie. Watch with a friend. I gave it a 5.5/10

***P.S. The ending will blow your mind

Into the Woods Movie Review

Movie: Into the Woods
Release Date: December 2014
Starring: Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep, Chris Pine

Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a musical format that follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel-all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

So here’s what I actually liked about Into the Woods:

1. The Music- I was entirely unaware that the film was a musical. I was like, “Word, Meryl and Johnny finna sing?” Lol, I didn’t really say that, in fact I sound weird even talking in such manner. With that said here’s a toast to Stephen Sondheim (music composer); I was tremendously impressed by his work.

2. The Cast- Even though I thought Emily Blunt and James Corden were a quirky pair, (as I did Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman were in Identity Thief), they were actually pretty amazing. Can we have three cheers for Tracey Ullman? I haven’t seen Ullman played a role in forever, and to see her portray a grumpy old farmer got me even more pumped to watch.

3. The storyline- Yes! It was drawn out at times, for instance Red’s rant after she was rescued by the Baker and Prince Charming’s constant search for Cindy, but if you follow the movie pretty well there is a hint of dark humor.

I would recommend the film, however to a high-teen audience. I gave it a 6/10

Black or White Movie Review

Movie: Black or White

Release Date: January 2015

Starring: Kevin Costner Octavia Spencer, Gillian Jacobs

Black or White stars Kevin Costner playing Elliot Anderson, a grieving widower who is suddenly left to care for his biracial granddaughter (Jilian Estell). The drama begins when her paternal grandmother (Octavia Spencer) seeks custody, causing the little girl to be torn between two families who no doubt loves her deeply. The root cause of this custody battle is that Rowena wants Elosie to explore the other side of her heritage by spending time with her African-American relatives.

Because its a racially inclined theme, I was a bit skeptical to watch. But, it's clearly coming from a sincere and honest place and not to mention it has an all-star cast.

With the best intentions at heart, both families fight for what they feel is right and are soon forced to confront their true feelings about race, forgiveness, and understanding (Relativity).

The cast did an exceptional job, but the story line rubbed me the wrong way, mainly because I knew Binder (Director) really wanted to touch on the race matter however, was somewhat fearful. Really Binder? We can take it! I think. Honestly, I was irritated at every scene, I kept saying “Are they gonna elaborate on the issue here? Oh, maybe here!...No?”

Black or White is the kind of failure that makes you frustrated and sad rather than angry. Its heart is in the right place, but its mind is confused (MZ). The movie failed to explore and took too many shortcuts, it lost sight of what actually is taking place.

I can’t take away the fact that this film is a decent family movie. I gave it a 6.7/10

Addicted Movie Review

Movie: Addicted
Release Date: October 2014
Starring: Sharon Leal, Boris Kodjoe, William Levy

Disclaimer: This review is a SPOILER ALERT

I am just going to jump straight to the point. This movie begs the question: Is she really a sex addict? At a first glance I didn't think she was addicted to sex. (See my review of Shame: A Story of a Sex Addict). I actually thought, due to her promiscuity inexperience, she wanted to have SEVERAL SEXUAL ENCOUNTERS WITH SEVERAL MEN outside of her marriage, being that her husband was her “first and only". Let’s say she is finally testing the water...s. Honestly, I don’t think you are truly addicted to sex if you’re with only two men outside of your marriage. Take it up a notch, maybe five.

The movie stars Sharon Leal as Zoe Reynard. Owner of an on-the-rise marketing company, which soon fails because of her addiction. Her once happy life; faithful husband, two kids, beautiful home and sanity, is taken away due to this sickness.

During the film she falls for, well become obsessed with renowned artist, Quinton Canosa (played by William Levy). The two met at a gallery, where they openly flirt and soon become heavily involved. Zoe starts sneaking around on her husband, and things with Quinton quickly become too complicated for her to handle. *throws hands in the air in frustration*

Zoe is also into S&M and is quickly smitten with a new lover.

The performers are pretty game considering the ridiculous material. The characters aren't recognizable human beings, they are overwrought emotional states walking through immaculate settings wearing fabulous clothing (ready to be torn off at a moment's notice). Emayatzy Corinealdi plays Zoe's assistant, a straight-talking go-getter, frustrated with her distracted boss, and she brings a practical energy to the hothouse mood of the film that is welcome and often funny. She feels like a real person- SO

I was more annoyed than impressed with this picture, reason being it showed the truth about women. They are silly, they consistently fall deeply, suddenly and blindly into the booby traps set by men.

I gave it a 6/10.

Shame Movie Review

Movie: Shame

Release Date: November 2011

Starring: Michael Fassbender, Carey Mulligan, James Badge Dale

When since sex was something to be ashamed of? Never! On the flipside, a sex addict’s life can be dreadful, overbearing and shameful. Filled with rage, anger and lust, Shame takes you to a dark place where sex entangles Brandon (Michael Fassbender) in its sticky web. This is a portrait of a man, who thinks he can fill the emptiness inside by having physical sexual encounters void of any romance.

Michael Fassbender is perfect. He takes on the role of a sex addict who fears companionship and lacks emotions. He is often alone, and when he is surrounded by company, he is normally in them. We are introduced to little characters in this film. However, he is visited by a woman we later assume to be his estranged sister, Sissy (Carey Mulligan). Tension is present, as he sees Sissy as a burden in his home. Furthermore is broken herself.

The film suggests no help for Brandon, although toward the end, he moves somewhat in the direction of being able to care for another human being. For him, that involves being able to care for himself, despite the truth that he feels unworthy to be known. This is a great act of film-making and acting-RE

Shame was far from shameful receiving an 8.5/10.

Gone Girl Movie Review

Movie: Gone Girl

Release Date: October 2014

Starring: Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris

I think we've found the movie of the year. I saw what the producers did, premiered the movie just in time to be nominated for The Academy Awards: Best Picture of the Year. The story wraps us into somewhat of a mysterious maze, causing us to want so much more than what we expected.

The “girl” in Gone Girl is Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike), East Coast socialite and daughter to two successful authors, who falls head-over-heels in love with journalist Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck). The movie tells a story of the married couple and their fairy-tale life, but five years later it turns out that they’re involved in a loveless, hopeless marriage.

Amy goes missing… and Nick gradually goes from sympathetic husband to suspected killer in the eyes of his family, their nosy Missouri neighbors, and the hovering, headline-starved media –SO. Gone Girl never crosses the line and becomes too much a deconstruction. It's a plot-obsessed picture that's determined to stay one step ahead of the audience at all times, and cheats when it feels it has to.

At times I felt ‘up in the air’ and didn’t know what to expect. You know, there were a few silly turn of events. Let’s say it is a film that shifts emphasis and perspective so many times that you may feel as though you're watching five short movies strung together, each morphing into the next -MS

Every character was brilliantly placed. I especially enjoyed the performances of Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit, both played homicide detectives. Neil Patrick Harris was a bit *draws back mouth corners* but nonetheless he delivered. Even though I’ve never been a fan of Ben Affleck (or his work), he’s exceptional as a blocked writer, estranged husband, and a maybe murderer. He effortlessly compiled all three complicated flaws into one big KAZAM! A wonderful kazam. By the way I first came across Rosamund Pike in the beautifully written “An Education” a film which I recommend to all females. (I should write a review on “An Education”)

It’s complicated singing the praises of Gone Girl without spoiling the whole thing for the moviegoer. This is undoubtedly the best movie I seen all year and is deserving of a 9/10

Movies I Won’t Be Watching Anytime Soon

Hey guys, here’s a list I compiled of some of the movies I won’t be watching anytime soon as a result of the plot, acting performance or just simply, the right movie but wrong fit. Remember, I haven’t watched any of these movies. These are formulated opinions from watching the trailers and reading some reviews. Mostly watching trailers.

1. No Good Deed- *Yawn* Hey look! It’s a bad guy posing as good guy *Gets list of all movies having the exact plot*...countless. This movie is nothing to write home about, I’ve seen it a million times in other movies and nothing about it grabs me. Someone please tell me what was really going on in the minds of those writers.

2. Annabelle- By the way I do not watch horror films but by the looks of what I’ve seen from the trailer.... it’s not scary. Yes, I sat through the entire thing. Okay, I take that back. I revisited their main site just now and it’s hella scary. Moving on....quickly.

3. The Equalizer- Hold on, a black superhero without the cape? That doesn't sit too well with me. You see,  I don’t have a problem with the plot, I have a problem with Denzel playing a “super” hero. Honestly, I’d prefer seeing Idris Elba, Columbus Short or Jamie Foxx playing this role. I adore Denzel Washington, but not this time.

4.
Beyond the Lights- Absolutely nothing special from the trailers that I’ve seen. Not to mention, the strained performance by the supporting actor (Nate Parker) and the dull and subpar acting by Gugu Mbatha-Raw (lead actress). It’s just that this movie reminds me of all the other “rose to fame, died by hardcore drugs” celeb biographies.

5. Two Night Stand- Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, boy kiss girl, happy ending. An online hook-up turns into a morning-after disaster; how many times have we heard this plot before? *scoff* Cliché, mushy, love story with an all-time predictable ending.

A Simple Plan Review

Movie: A Simple Plan
Release Date: December 1998
Starring: Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton, Brent Briscoe, Chelcie Ross.

Lordt Jesas, the length people will go through for MONEY. The love of dough is surely the root of all evil.

A Simple Plan isn't really that simple when Hank and Jacob Mitchell, who along with their friend Lue screw up a plan to hide a large sum of money, discovered from a crashed plane- until the appropriate time to spend it.

This movie reminds me of a serious version of "The LadyKillers". Much like the comedy, things can only get worse, as distrust and greed creep into the minds of the principals. The three men find it incredibly difficult to keep a secret of this magnitude.

Let's just sit and talk about Hank's wife (Bridget Fonda) for a bit, I consider her to be the gas in all of this, (you know Supligen, mhm). As I'm watching, my thoughts directly links her to Adam's wife, Eve. #BibleTalk

Billy Bob Thornton plays the most outstanding role I've ever seen, as did Bill Paxton. Undertaking an unparalleled sibling pair.

The suspense, drama-driven movie did no wrong in my book. I LOVED it! 8.5/10

Dallas Buyer's Club Movie Review

I couldn't have imagined the diet that McConaughey had to endure to take on this role; but once we get past McConaughey’s stunning transformation, we’re transfixed by a performance that reminds us of why this guy became a movie star in the first place-RR

The movie sets in Texas with McConaughey portraying the life of electrician Ron Woodroof, a hard-core drug and sex addict diagnosed with HIV-AIDS in the mid-1980’s. A period in which the virus was highly stigmatized and under-researched. With a 30-day death sentence hanging over his head, he begins aggressively exploring alternative meds. He then soon unwittingly becomes an advocate and activist, even as he kept himself alive for years longer than any medical experts had told him he could.

Woodroof was also, this story tells us, a bigoted redneck who bristled with more than just fear of mortality when he got his diagnosis. Dallas Buyers Club is not just about Woodroof going up against the FDA and Big Pharmaceutical Companies and the other institutions and individuals who kept potentially life-saving drugs from sick people who needed them; it is of course also about Woodroof's growth as a human being, and how this growth allows him to work side by side with a flamboyant transsexual, a person he not only wouldn't have given the time of day to in his prior mode of life, but possibly would have given a beat-down to -GK

Jared Leto gave a “razzle-dazzle” performance as he disappears into the role of Rayon (the flamboyant transsexual). Co-starring Jennifer Garner (Dr. Eve), Dallas Buyer’s Club is an inspiration to the gay community.

9.5/10.

The Watch Movie Review

Where do I start? Like every other Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller film this was another predictable film but in many ways F-U-N-N-Y. Jonah Hill has definitely heightened my movie experience giving a grade A performance coupled with his new knock out self-image. *bats lashes*

The Watch goes a little like this. Four men form a neighbourhood watch try to get out of their day-to-day family routines but soon later find themselves defending their neighborhood -- and the world -- from total extermination.

After countless zombie films being released in 2012, it’s about time we saw some aliens and since Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill had something to do with this movie, in my opinion is it somewhat similar to This Is The End.

Again, totally predictable, but in every way humorous. 6.5/10

Hunger Games: Catching Fire Review

Harry Potter without the magic.

In Catching Fire, the butt-kicking heroine, Katniss, is forced to deal with the celebrity status that comes with winning "The Hunger Games”. However, President Snow isn’t amused by all the excitement as he goes above and beyond to get her killed. YES!! KILL THE POOR CHILD, SMH.

Jena Malone as Johanna Mason in Hunger Games: Catching Fire; Elevator Scene

This is a masterpiece given to us by Francis Lawrence. Among other things, I absolutely fell in love with the amazing set designs and costumes along with the terrific cast, not to mention Jena Malone (who knew she had it in her?). This is a film you can definitely watch over and over and still enjoy.

I gave Hunger Games: Catching Fire 8.7/10 *district whistle*

RIP Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

This is the End Movie Review

After watching This is the End, I'm now a die hard fan of James Franco. Who the hell knew I'd laugh this hard just from watching six guys fight for their lives.
It's a laugh out loud comedy staring celebs...STARING THEMSELVES. On the downside, the mockery of Heaven was just unbearable for me.

But, in the end (no pun intended) this hilarious, witty, too-many-penis jokes, too-many-masturbation- jokes movie got an 8/10 from me.

Savages Movie Review

Movie: Savages

Release Date: July 2012

Starring: Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Salma Hayek, Benicio Del Toro, Blake Lively, John Travolta.

Savages! When you say the word, say it with your meanest voice like you're ready to kill. Lol, let's go.

The Oliver Stone directed film centres around two Laguna Beach entrepreneurs Ben (Johnson), a peaceful and charitable Buddhist, and his closest friend Chon (Kitsch) a former navy SEAL, who run a lucrative, homegrown industry-raising some of the best marijuana ever developed. The pair also share a one of a kind love with Ophelia (Lively).

For some reason the film could have done away with Blake Lively's poor acting skills. I hated her voice, her expressions, her... I just can't imagine her outside of Gossip Girls. I mean, I would've preferred Jennifer Love Hewitt or Olivia Wilde to play Ophelia's role.

As the movie unfolds, everything goes haywire when Kingpin Elena (Hayek) decides to move in and demands partnership, and somewhat takeover the lucrative marijuana industry.

You would assume after reviewing three Mexicans drama films I'd get use to the bloody deaths, but nooope! I can never get use to seeing a man's decapitated body. But that's what drives the suspense; you'll be entangled in the superb plot, and too excited to look away.

If you're looking for high intense drama, big guns, gruesome deaths and threesomes; Savages is perfect for you. I gave it a 7/10.

A Madea Christmas Movie Review

Movie: A Madea Christmas

Release Date: Dec 2013

Starring: Tyler Perry, Anna Maria Horsford, Tika Sumpter, Eric Lively.

It's Christmas, a time for cheerful giving, to be happy and for Madea to take her medications. Ho No She Didn't!

In the Christmas tale Madea gets forced into helping her neice played by Anna Maria Hosford to pay her daughter a surprise visit for the holidays. While visiting, new secrets are revealed and relationships are tested, however Madea dispenses her unique form of holiday spirit into the lives of everyone she comes across, teaching them a valuable lesson.

It's the same old, same old. Nothing new, just a few giggles (for instance when Madea accidentally walks into a KKK meeting and speedily runs out before a lynching could take place), along with a sprinkle of touching moments. It's not a film you'll hate, but one that you'll be forgetting in 20 mins.

A Madea Christmas ranked only 5/10 in my book. Ho Yes I Did!

2 Guns Review

Movie: 2 Guns
Release Date: August 2013
Starring:  Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton

Even though I was skeptical about watching 2 Guns, reason being I thought it was Denzel’s “lazy film”*, I couldn't stop laughing. Wahlberg and Washington were a flawless team: far from a “lazy film” for Denzel, and nothing but perfection from Mark.

Here’s what happens, Bobby, a DEA agent (played by Denzel Washington) and a naval intelligence officer (Mark Wahlberg), both undercover, find themselves on the run after a botched attempt to infiltrate a drug cartel. While fleeing and causing havoc we meet the amazing cast of this film. Bill Paxton as Earl, a crooked, CIA agent really did a number with his character, never concealing his undoubtedly love for Russian Roulette. Fred Ward, Edward James Olmos, James Marsden and the beautiful Paula Patton also graced this gun shooting, chicken torturing, money hungry, crime-busting film.

All in all 2 Guns was one of the best action movies for 2012. I loved it! I gave it a 8/10.

*Lazy Film- I consider it to be when an actor/actress has done so many action/suspense/drama/crime films in his/her prime that he/she is just taking it easy nowadays by undertaking comedy.

The Best Man Holiday Review

Movie: The Best Man Holiday

Release Date: November 2013

Starring: Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Morris Chestnut, Nia Long

Wooow! This is what the excitement was about? All the tears? The sniffles? Oh Please!

Let’s get in. After 15 years, long-forgotten rivalries and romances reignite when college friends have a Christmas reunion. This is the second installment of the popular film that stars Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Harold Perrineau Jr., Morris Chestnut, Monica Calhoun, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall, reprising their roles from the 1999 film along with the supporting cast. The film is surprisingly not as good as I thought it would be reason being some scenes were too drawn out and too dull. I must admit that I have only watched bits and pieces of the first installment, but its sequel has a richer emotional palette than its 1999 predecessor.

Although the opening credits made us aware of what happened the last time we caught up with the best friends and also what is taking place in their lives presently, it still begs the need to have a prior knowledge of each character. Well I was sometimes lost, I don’t know about you. You still do catch up though…but I was still lost

Now on to spirituality, I seriously hated how Lance (Morris Chestnut) spoke so much about Faith and of God miraculous ways and still at every turn there was a curse word. I compared this film to numerous Tyler Perrys’ Madea flicks and no matter how much she or any other character got angry you would never hear a curse word, always some funny made up expression like, “Lil girl, I’ll SHANK you!”

The movie in no way, shape or form moved me (physically or emotionally) …I just DID NOT like it. Don't get me wrong, I threw in a few giggles now and then, but the only best this film got out of me was a 6.9.

Drive Review

Movie: Drive

Release Date: September 2011

Starring: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston

Driver? HA, what driver? They should have titled this movie COLD BLOODED MURDERS. Blood everywhere, ruthless, mafia-style killing. But apart from Ryan Goslings' dreamy blue eyes, the plot was extraordinary and no matter how much your brain was telling “NO! Don’t look!” your dazzled eyes will never listen. It was an 80’s inspired flick hence the music, wardrobe, and credit font.

What I didn't like was how the director didn't involve real life situations after each murder but left it to our imaginations to GUESS what happened next.
In my opinion, Drive can be compared to the novel Shane by Jack Schaefer, a mysterious, (dangerous), gent with no ties, friendships and a continuous wanderer.

Driver rode all the way up to a 6.5 for me.

Passion Review

Movie: Passion
Release Date: August 30, 2013
Starring:  Rachel McAdams, Noomi Rapace, Karoline Herfurth

Yikes! Currently studying HRM I know why the boardroom hardly has females, and this film proves it all. This thriller packed film captures the dark side of females in light of intimidation and power.

Lol, what I do have to say is: Ladies! Never bring your man to the office, and for the Jane Grinds never leave evidence. No notes, no texts, no videos, no ANYTHING!

As temper flares and PASSION gets deeper you get lost in film's crazy world-wind. As a matter of a fact, it gets a little confusing with a hypnotic episode of bad dreams vs reality.

Plagued with sexual twists and fantasies these successful business women have nothing but black hearts and a cold soul.

I could not resist but to passionately give it a 8/10

Battle of the Year Review

Movie: Battle of the Year
Release Date: September 2013
Starring:  Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck, Caity Lotz

After 15 years of repeatedly losing, the USA is finally on top. In BOY, (that’s what they call it in the movie), Coach Blake played by Josh Holloway is hired to assemble a group of talented break-dancers and make them into a team, to compete against over 20 countries in a Hip-Hop Break-dancing competition. However, everything is not easy as it seems when trying to formulate the perfect team. In this group, (not yet a team), one can find the arrogant, the timid, the gay…YES GAY and the tough guy.

So let’s get in, dancing here, backflip there, stomping over here. Yes, I won’t lie I did feel like a crunk master while watching, ready to get out of my seat and start busting a move. Everyone felt it. As the dance flick elapsed it teaches determination, hard work and being a dependable individual can make your team be on top.

Unfortunately Battle of the Year was not on top of my movie list or on top of my ratings chart. Okay here’s why the 3D was so-so aka poor, the acting was too normal, and [“the movie’s inability to showcase it’s greatest assets, the grace and control of its dancers as the average shot during these performances lasts about 1.5 seconds.”] –SA.

So with that said, BOY stomped to a 5/10.
