Spring Break turns ALL the way up, then *draws break* all over in Spring Breakers. We’re introduced to four college sophomore who set out to have an awesome spring break involving wild sex, drugs and partying. Conversely they received more than they bargained for transforming from High School BAD GIRLS to GANGSTA CHICK, you know like the ride or die chicks, yea those.
Along the line this wild “party” turns into a self-actualization journey, they call it “finding themselves”. (I thought that was done in high school, not college)
James Franco gangster skills were superb, he raps too! For a minute I thought I was watching a black thug do his thang. Vanessa Hudgens faded throughout the film, coming alive only during her girl on girl action. And I can say the same for her Disney buddy Selena Gomez.
Dreadful music, dreadful debut by Gucci Mane, dreadful ending.
